Central Austin Texas Homes in the Spring

This is the kickoff of the best time of the year for Central Austin Texas real estate and neighborhoods.  The trees are sprouting leaves, the dogwoods are in full bloom and the red buds are about to pop in Central Austin home lawns.  The irises are blooming too and Central Austin lawns are greening up.

The warm sunny weather puts everyone in the mood to get outside and enjoy Central Austin and the hike and bike trails, Zilker park and Pease Park, or take the dog for a walk around the neighborhood or sip a glass of wine on the back deck.   Republic Square Park in Downtown Austin is back open and hosting the weekly farmers market on Saturdays.  Look for farm fresh locally produced fruits, herbs and veggies at the farmers market.  The City of Austin has done a great job of improving Republic Square park.  Check it out.

And don't forget to check out the great inventory of sunny Central Austin homes for sale in all price ranges.

New Dowtown Austin condos coming?

Wow! 2 downtown condo projects previously shelved are getting new attention.  One on the south shore of Lady Bird Lake and another in the area of 7th of Rio Grande.  Even if those projects get started, it would be a couple of years for the units to deliver to the market.  By then, we could probably see the need for more units.

Apparently there are also plans in the works for a new office building downtown.  Sites being considered are on W. 6th near Lamar.   A downtown law firm would be the tenant.

Downtown Austin continues to draw huge amounts of interest.  Would love for that to translate into a sale for my new listing in the Brown Building listed for $229,900.
